Sir Simon Marsden is one of the most collected photographers in the world. His work is hugely atmospheric and it was essential that his websites reflected this in their mood and general appearance while retaining an elegant simplicity and not detracting from the pictures.

The answer was to restrict the use of colour to very simple tones but to add interest to the design by incorporating Simon's own pictures and other simple graphical devices such as the William Morris-like border.

Simon was a newcomer to computers and the Internet when we first designed a site for him, and we have been able to help him through the technical barriers to operating his picture library in an increasingly digital age, to the point where he can now deliver his pictures digitally.
